summer

Hello everyone in Blog Land. This is the first time I have been in my blog for months. Guess I have been enjoying the summer weather here in Ohio. But it is already the end of August, so it will be time again for all of the holiday's and cold weather. Yuck! But meanwhile, I am enjoying each moment of warm weather. One thing that has been fun this year is watching the tiny little Hummingbirds that appear at my backyard feeder. What amazing little fairy like creatures that wiz by your head and then disappear in the air as fast as they came. Soon they will be migrating to Mexico but they always come back to the same place each year. So I will be waiting next spring for my favorite little birdies to come back and watch again.

I have discovered a new book from Oprah's Book Club "A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life's Purpose". So far, I have read to Chapter 3 and and am totally amazed with Eckhart Tolle's writing of this book. I have joined the Oprah Webcast classroom and am so excited to start tomorrow night, March 3rd at 9 pm. What a exciting thing to be happening around the world! The book is very similar to the book "A Course in Miracles" which I have been studying for over 5 years. I even have a class for ACIM at my house on Thursday nights. And we are talking about having a book review on "A New Earth" on Thursday nights also. Alls I can say is, the ACIM has changed my life so much for the better. And now this new book by Eckhart Tolle has simpified the Course to help understand more about the ego and how it works. Its amazing how I have learned from both books that its our minds that cause the problems in our lives and the world. We have a choice to choose to be in fear or love. Our ego's are the fear thoughts. We all have grown up with beliefs that we thought were right. And when things do not go our way according to our thoughts, we believe that it is a problem. ACIM and A New Earth changes our thoughts to see who we really are. Not what we perceived about ourselves and others. It is opening my eyes to see that I am a spiritual being. That my body, my car, my house is not who I really am. But the spirit is and always has been and always will be who I Am. And it also has opened my eyes to see who other people are. To see the good in them as that loving spirit that they are. So all I can say is, I am very grateful for these books and people that have put there time into helping others see the Truth!

Going on to #24

http://http//www.zamzar.com/ Zamzar could be something I can use in the future for converting written information that I have found in a web site and now be able to print this information. Before I was not able to convert them into a format that I could print. Converting them into PDF files will help me be able to print them for each person at a class that I facilitate at my house. So Zamzar is a great learning tool for me! Also, this is a great tool for helping patrons at the library on converting there files.

Thing # 23

Oh my gosh! I did it? I really finished the 23 things! Its been so much fun learning new things on the computer. The best part is the sharing with each other. Our interest, our humor and even pictures of our families. It helped me get to know people in a more personal way. Also, it was fun helping each other learn and I appreciate all the help others did for me. Another important thing is, it gave me confidence with working on computers. Which will help me to help patrons at the library. This whole blog thing was a challenge for me and I loved it!

What was my favorite thing? I loved finding new things to put on my blog thru Flickr and the image generators. I plan on adding more things to my blog in the future. And maybe just maybe, I will continue beyond the 23 things.
